646f9e108c Mentally abused, enslaved and coerced into prostitution, a left-for-dead merciless Sister will take on a mission straight from God, whacking sinners in a strictly personal, no-prisoners vigilante Holy War. Hazed from a drug overdose and brutally beaten, Sister Sarah will find herself in the middle of a bad trip, mentally abused, enslaved and coerced into prostitution for the evil and sleazy El Chavo's "Los Muertos" biker gang. Right on the brink of demise and totally abandoned by the pious merchants of dope, the left-for-dead Sister will take on a mission to put the fear of God into sinners and to persecute all those who stand against Him. So, without delay, prepared for vengeance while armed with God's tools and a heavy arsenal to do the Lord's work, merciless Sister Sarah will start whacking priests one-by-one in a strictly personal vigilante frenzy. After all, she is the Hand of God amid Holy War, where no one is spared and no prisoners are taken. I am not entirely sure what the negative reviews are about this movie but I personally think this is actually not a bad movie at all if you enjoy the Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino (more extreme) genre of movies, with plenty of blood and guts, a number of gunshot wounds, and in this instance one smoking hot lead character who spends more time getting out of the habit than in it in more ways than one, if you take my meaning.

So, grab a tall box of hot-buttered popcorn, side of Jujubes, Snowcaps, or whatever sweet you crave, a tall refreshing soda, and enjoy the movie for what it is and not what you think it should be. The first thing to remember is that Nude Nuns with Big Guns is not an ironic, humorous homage to the grind-house genre as presented by Tarantino or Rodriguez. This is the real deal. Classic '70's nun-sploitation, revenge flick grind-house - not for the faint of heart.

This is a very solid example of the genre with some good camera work, a great soundtrack and a certain Spaghetti Western aesthetic.

The storyline revolves around a nun who falls foul of the Roman Catholic Church - in this film portrayed as a ruthless drug and prostitution cartel working with a vicious motorcycle gang (The sort that can only be portrayed within a genre like this.) She gets used as a drugged up prostitute where she narrowly escapes death and the brothel. The rest of the film is a classic revenge film as she tears up the countryside and church in an orgy of God-sanctioned, over-the-top violence and sex.

A warning though - The sexual violence is harrowing and leaves one feeling somewhat uncomfortable and the tone is truly dark.

I will reiterate that if you are looking for lighthearted, ironic bro-fare with cartoon violence as has been bought to you by Tarantino and Rodriguez over the last decade then this is not the film for you.
